FireGrear specializes in burner components utilized to complete a site built gas fire pit. They offer a range of ignition systems, burner pan shapes and flame patterns. Burner pan sizes range from 19" to 33". Lava rock, glass media and gas logs are used to complete the finished look of the fire pit.
types of ignition systems
Thermocouple Flame Sense is a remote controlled electronic ignition system. This is an ignition system with batteries located both in the remote and the valve box. Batteries in both locations need to be replaced at least once a year. The thermocouple is a flame monitoring system that will shut off the gas if the flame goes out, due to wind or other factors. This ignition system is available in both natural and LP gas.
Thermocouple Manual Safety is a millivolt system that utilizes a standing pilot flame. Once the pilot flame is manually lit, the burner flame is controlled with a standard on/off control knob, located near the burner. The thermocouple is a flame monitoring system that will shut off the gas if the pilot flame goes out, due to wind or other factors. This ignition system is only available in natural gas.
The Match Throw requires a manual light to ignite the burner. Instead of using a millivolt valve, this technology uses a manual key valve which sends the gas immediately to the burner. This is the most simplistic and lowest maintenance ignition system. This ignition system is only available in natural gas.

The Line of Fire
The Line of Fire Series burner can combine two separate burners to create a longer linear look. The Line of Fire Series is only available in the thermocouple flame sense and match throw ignition systems.
Below are diagrams showing a combined burner system.
