Godby Hearth & Home seeks a Lead Installer based out of our operations facility at 7904 Rockville Rd. Indianapolis, IN 46214.

This is not your typical installation position. We want an independent thinker who enjoys working in a fast pace environment and has a desire to continue to learn. There will be significant direct communication with our customers so strong written/verbal communication is key. Organization and ability to monitor multiple projects simultaneously is also critical. The Job

This position has more of a focus as a team leader and customer support person. Your primary responsibility will be toinstall custom shower glass and mirror in new construction and existing homes. As part of this responsibility, you will be communicating with customers as to the correct application for each product. You will provide the customer with operating and product care information. Assist in establishing the correct product expectations for the customer, in order to complete a successful sales process. You will be the liaison for the customer throughout the installation process and communicate with other company personal as situations or questions arise. This communication needs to be organized and proactive in nature. Candidates must have a positive, can do attitude, strong customer service and communication skills, be attentive to details, and be able to meet deadlines. Candidates must also be able to work independently or as part of a team.

Requirements and Responsibilities:

Communicate job site information to supervisor and office personnel
Follow O.S.H.A. standards
Be able to lift 100 lbs. Also, carry material up and down stairs on a daily basis
45 plus hours per week job. Start time is 7:30 – work until job is finished
Perform quality work in compliance with Godby’s standard operating procedures
Must be dependable
Construction background:
3 or more years of experience – finish trim, plumber, tile, remodeler
Able to read construction blueprints
Strong understanding of building and construction process
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail
Able to perform work unsupervised
Able to supervise and train helpers
Able to work at a fast pace
Must have own cordless power, and hand tools
Valid drivers license – no DUI’s within the past 5 years (insurance requirement)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 – $28.00 per hour
